Optima splint synthetic splint 12.5cm x 76cm suitable for application on the foot. The Optima Splint is an orthopedic splint system for temporary immobilization of fractures, sprains and strains. It consists of multiple layers of casting strips impregnated with polyurethane resin which is activated before use. The strips are enclosed in a protective barrier of non-woven fabric to provide protection for patient comfort. It polymerizes by simple immersion in water at natural temperature, immediately giving us an easy-to-use, very light but also very durable splint. It sets in approximately 5 minutes. OptimaSplint™ is suitable for skin contact and immobilizes bones while protecting wounds. It retains moisture and controls skin inflammation due to its non-woven material construction. It provides excellent durability which is the most important feature required in a splint.
