Scotchcast synthetic cast consists of a braided fiberglass material impregnated with polyurethane resin. Upon exposure of Scotchcast products to moisture or water, a chemical reaction begins which causes the hardening of the tapes. The final casts made from Scotchcast synthetic cast are lightweight, strong, radiolucent, and porous.
