Mac Conkey, an inhibitory culture medium used for the cultivation, isolation, and identification of enterobacteriaceae. Enterococci do not grow. Sabouraud Dext. agar, which is suitable for fungal cultures. Contains chloramphenicol to inhibit gram(+) and gram(-) bacteria.
