Strep A Cassette is a rapid test for the detection of Group A Streptococcus antigen directly from a pharyngeal swab on a cassette. Result reading within 5 minutes. The method was compared with culture on 492 samples from pediatric and adult patients who had symptoms of pharyngitis. Sensitivity is 94%, specificity 98%, and overall accuracy 97%.
