Description
Chocolate Agar is an enriched medium for qualitative procedures, for the isolation and cultivation of pathogenic microorganisms, especially Neisseria and Haemophilus species from a variety of clinical samples. Place the culture as soon as possible in an aerobic environment, enriched with CO2. Incubate at 35-37°C and examine the culture after 24 hours and again after exactly 48 hours. Subcultures for the identification of N. Gonorrhoeae must be performed within 18-24 hours.
